The united states is the only country left in the western world meaning it is behind. Canada banned corporal punishment in 2004 and no country in europe prohibits corporal punishment. This proves that corporal punishment is not suitable for a good learning environment, as seen by choices of many countries.

Judith Abbs from london says this: “All forms of corporal punishment demonstrate that – if you are more powerful, older, bigger and stronger – it is acceptable to deal with any behaviour that you find undesirable by using physical violence against the perpetrator. Is this the lesson some politicians learnt at school?”
